Thirteen Reviews
We had an excellent experience at Thirteen! I've been wanting to dine there, so my husband and I made a spur of the moment decision to go for Sunday brunch around 1pm. It was the perfect time of day, as it wasn't crowded at all and we received amazing service from the time we arrived until we left. Our server, RAY, was very engaging, informative, professional, and kind and provided excellent customer service. The ambiance is top tier, and the food and drinks were on point. We split the surf and turf with grits, which were delicious and filling for two people. We also tried the Strawberry Banana stuffed French toast, and again, it was another delicious dish. The topper was that the head chef, MIKE, offered to escort us in a tour around the entire venue. Such awesome hospitality! Who knew there was a club and lounge with a bowling ally downstairs?! Again, amazing! I'm so glad we went when there wasn't a crowd and were able to see all that Thirteen has to offer. We will be returners.
Mar 24, 2025 · Corliss WalkerWe arrived in Houston from Baton Rouge, Louisiana to celebrate our 27th Anniversary. We heard about this venue so we made reservations and dined there on Saturday June 21st and I tell you we have never experienced being in a place where everything and everyone was just AWESOME! Shout out to Chef Mike and his people for just doing their thing and making our night Electric! The food was great and unlike any that we have had. The drinks were delicious and looked magazine picture ready. We want to say thank you and hope to return back sooner than later.
Jun 23, 2025 · Thalisha HughesThirteen by James Harden definitely has a great atmosphere in the main dining area, very stylish and inviting. However, I was a bit surprised to find the main dining area completely empty at 2 PM on a weekend. It was nice to have the place to ourselves, but concerning. We came for brunch, and the food was a mixed bag. The sweet potato waffle was delicious, a definite highlight. Unfortunately, the catfish and grits were overly greasy, and surprisingly, the dishes looked noticeably different even though we both ordered the same thing. On the bright side, our server Ray was fantastic. He was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. The service was excellent.Thirteen was a nice happy hour experience when it first opened, but it seems like things have changed quite a bit. It's a shame because the potential is clearly there. I really hope the owner can make some adjustments and bring it back to its former glory. It would be a shame to see such a promising spot go to waste.
Apr 09, 2025 · Keitha GallienPlease explain the hype around this place. They list a dress code, but let anyone in. Calamari is barely eatable. Salty as hell. Cajon pasta is basically pasta with olive oil, tasteless. Three shrimp that tasted like pepper. Truffle fries, no taste. Turks and Caicos drink full of ice. They kept taking my glass after I said I wanted my ice. I lost that battle. I didn't have the strength to keep telling them to bring it back because i was hungry. Not worth it. Never gave a receipt and waitress insisted that the service charge goes to everyone else but her. Menu is very limited, so you would think that the food would be impeccable. Lastly, called to inquire about access to the lounge. Was told you have to send a DM on Instagram and a manager will get back to you. Only to walk right in when we finished eating. Hookah filled space with a dj and tvs..
Mar 29, 2025 · Nicole FI'm from South Carolina and visited Houston, the weekend of the black heritage rodeo night. We decided to do dinner there. One night for a girl's birthday with a celebrating. The restaurant did get a little busy and they messed our order up For The entrees. however the appetizers were really delicious. The manager gabby did apologize and advised us to come back the next day for brunch. We came back for brunch that Sunday afternoon and everything was great. Shout out to gabby and keyon for the awesome service. Oh yeah, shout out to the chef as well.Everything was delicious.
