Marmo Reviews
Marmo is definitely one of those spots that feels upscale without trying too hard. It’s located in an extremely nice shopping center, and the aesthetics inside match the vibe—clean, modern, and elegant. They’ve got a daily happy hour from 3 to 6PM, which is a great deal if you can catch it. Valet is free, just make sure to validate your valet ticket inside the restaurant. One thing to note: happy hour is first come, first serve and only available in the bar area or on the patio—not the main dining room. You cannot make reservations for happy hour. That setup was a little unexpected, so definitely get there early if you’re aiming for those deals. The happy hour menu is solid—pastas start at $5, with meat options around $7, and glasses of wine are $6. Honestly, it’s a steal for the quality and location.Servers were super friendly and attentive, which really made the experience feel elevated. The hostess was just okay—not rude, but not especially welcoming either.Perfect place for a cute catch-up, date night on a budget, or just a solo unwind moment with a glass of wine.
Jun 24, 2025 · Evelyn LewisWe had a great experience at Marmo. Let’s talk about the food first: we ordered pasta, a Caesar salad and broccolini for some fiber. Flavors were excellent and fresh, you could taste layers of carefully crafted ingredients. Why didn’t I give it 5 stars? Because as other reviewers have said, some dishes were heavy on the salt. Not terrible at all but not for everyone. Tiramisu was perfect for us, slightly sweet and very creamy. Coffee was an excellent end to the meal. Another suggestion is to add some non alcoholic beers or drinks to their menu. They had lovely live music, these people were talented and added to the atmosphere.Service was fantastic overall. If you’re looking for Italian in Houston, give Marmo a try.
Apr 27, 2025 · margaby2001This review is for the management team to get improve on their customer service and retrain the team. I had a rather disappointing experience at Marmo, despite the food being unexpectedly fantastic. We were seated at 1:00 PM and greeted promptly by our server, Christian L., but then waited another 15 minutes before he returned to take our order. What frustrated me most was the 25-minute wait for our appetizers, especially since we were very hungry. We ordered a salad, raw oysters, beef tartare, and fried chicken—items that typically don’t take long to prepare, particularly when the restaurant was not at full capacity. After finishing our meal, we had to wait another 30 minutes just to get the check. Throughout our time there, our server was barely present, checking in only once, and we ultimately had to ask a busser for assistance to pay. As someone who works in the industry, I found this level of service unacceptable, especially at a restaurant that positions itself as upscale. It’s frustrating to spend money and leave feeling this annoyed. That said, the food was truly the highlight of the visit—everything we ordered was perfectly seasoned and bursting with flavor. It definitely salvaged the experience to some extent, though I’m unsure whether I’d return.Lastly, we parked in the garage nearby, which added to the frustration. It took 30 minutes to exit the lot on a Saturday, which was time-consuming and inconvenient.
May 10, 2025 · Tram NguThis is a very nice upscale restaurant. The menu has a nice variety of homemade pasta, steaks and unique seafood flare. We started with the fried chicken which are extremely tender small pieces with artichoke. The chicken marsala is the best I have ever had - with an amazing sauce that is rich in flavor and not sweet. Desert was a rich fudge cake brownie and decadent. The atmosphere is lively with a pianist and it was completely full of patrons on a Wednesday for dinner - which is a great sign of how good the food is. I strongly suggest making reservations. Parking is tight but there is complimentary valet parking.
Mar 29, 2025 · Ralph GuerreroGreat happy hour prices. The service at bar was bit spotty but once seated our waiter (Fernando I believe) took great care of us. The pasta was great as well as the steak. I'd skip the pork next time as it was very dry and lacked flavor. Valet parking available.
