- Unique Tex-Mex and Southern Culinary Fusion: A significant highlight is its innovative blend of Houston's native Tex-Mex cuisine with classic Southern fare. This creates a diverse and exciting menu that goes beyond typical breakfast offerings, featuring dishes like Texas corn cakes and Southern fried stuffed chicken (though for dinner). For breakfast, this translates to options like Huevos Rancheros alongside French Toast.

- Attentive Service (for some): While one review noted slow service, another explicitly praised the bartender for being "really nice and welcoming" and appreciating "the attention to the cocktail." This suggests an effort towards quality service, even if consistency might vary.
- Award-Winning Chef (for other meals): The presence of an "award-winning Executive Chef" for their authentic fare across the menus, including dinner, implies a high standard of culinary expertise that likely extends to the breakfast offerings.
It's worth noting that while breakfast items generally receive positive mentions for their breadth, some reviews indicate that certain dishes (like the guacamole or a specific salad) might be perceived as "plain" or "tasteless," and service could be slow at times. Edgar's Hermano Reviews
I came to the bar tonight to grab a quick night cap and watch the Rockets game. The same is really nice and welcoming. I ordered a Classic Old Fashioned. I really appreciated the attention to the cocktail as it is easy to make and easier to mess up.
Apr 24, 2025 · Jaie EulessThe place looks nice but the service was really slow. It wasn’t too busy so there weren’t a lot of wait staff. I only came here to eat because someone else was buying.1. Started with the house guacamole and it was blend. The chips were thick with some crispy and some soft with oil. This was disappointing.2. The corn and chicken chowder was surprisingly good for as simple as it was. The bowl was a nice portion.3. The best thing about the shrimp and avocado salad was the shrimp. Season nicely and not too dry. However the salad was just boring and tasteless. I had honey mustard but it wasn’t very good.Overall the cost of food with food that was too plain and simple doesn’t make it worthwhile to come here.
Jan 11, 2024 · Q ManJames is hands down one of the best bartenders I’ve ever met. Not just at Edgar Hermanos, but anywhere. He remembers your name, your friends’ names, what you drink, and probably what you were venting about last time. From the moment you sit down, it feels like catching up with a best friend who actually listens. That kind of consistency and energy is rare, and it’s the reason I became a regular almost instantly.Martha deserves her own spotlight too. Her drinks always hit, and the margaritas she makes for me are easily some of the best I’ve had. She’s locked in every time. And the food? Never had a bad plate. Edgar Hermanos is a true gem, and with people like James and Martha behind the bar, it’s on another level.
May 05, 2025 · julians creations (Julians Creations)Sat at the bar and ordered the club sandwich and fries. The food was awesome. The bartender was wonderful as well. Several other patrons mentioned that just about everything on the menu was delicious. Will definitely visit this place again in the future while staying at the hotel.

He couldn't have been more helpful.Food was tasty and the kitchen were happy to vary dishes you suit. Thanks from the English couple for all of your recommendations.
