May 31, 2025 · Ursula WrightHad an amazing experience at Koya Houston! The ambiance was stunning—modern, vibrant, and elegant. Our server, Carson M., went above and beyond with exceptional service and great recommendations. His enthusiasm and warm personality made the night even better. The lobster tacos were a standout, the lamb chops were perfectly cooked, and the mac and cheese was rich and delicious. We also tried their classic cocktails—each one was perfectly crafted. For the quality, vibe, and service, the prices were very reasonable. Highly recommend and definitely coming back when I visit Houston again!
May 03, 2025 · Solana MitchellAesthetically, the restaurant is beautiful specifically in the main dining area with an elaborate stage for the belly dancers they indicate on the website would be performing after 8:00 pm. Instead, we got a girl with an attractive smile spinning flame sticks all evening. Boring! The inconvenience of a ‘valet’ across the street you have to walk yourself for $20 ($22 cc) is not very high-heeled patron friendly. The service is mediocre, having to wait extensively to order drinks, food or follow up. The worst part was the ridiculous price for the subpar food. For example, $25 for French fries that looked like they were inside a frozen bag about 5 minutes before they were brought out to the table. There was absolutely nothing spectacular about the menu items to charge 5 star restaurant prices. I don’t mind paying good money for quality food, but the whole menu vibe felt like a short order/local tavern instead of a top chef’s pride that would substantiate the prices they were hitting us with. I ordered a dirty martini with three olives and guess what? They charged me $4.00 extra for each martini for the olives!!!!!! Thank god these jerks gave me only 2 although I had asked for 3, or I probably would’ve been charged $6 extra per drink. My friend ordered two single BLANCO tequilas and was shocked to see her two drinks were $84.00. Are you kidding me? This wasn’t even top shelf tequila. I guess these people figure they aren’t going to be around very long so they are gouging us now while they can. Houston has many beautiful upscale restaurants that offer quality food, service and atmosphere to even consider returning to Koya. Do yourself a favor and find a less expensive place to take selfies or to see a pretty chandelier.
Mar 27, 2025 · Victoria Sledz5/5 Stars! We had an amazing dinner experience at Koya Restaurant on a Saturday evening! The ambiance was top-notch, and the live dancers added a fun and lively touch. The food selection was impressive, with plenty of options to suit every taste. The drinks menu was equally impressive, with a great variety of choices. But what truly made our experience stand out was the exceptional service from our server. They were attentive, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain the menu in detail. We can't wait to come back to Koya Restaurant! Highly recommended for a fun and delicious night out with family or friends. Will definitely return!
