Bloom Introduce
In the heart of Houston's bustling Midtown, where modern energy meets urban charm, lies Bloom, a bar and grill that aims to offer more than just a meal. It positions itself as a stylish destination for locals seeking a vibrant atmosphere, excellent drinks, and a diverse culinary experience. Far from a typical neighborhood pub, Bloom appears to strive for a more refined ambiance, making it a suitable spot for both casual hangouts and more upscale social gatherings.
Bloom seems designed to be a multi-faceted venue, combining elements of a bar, a grill, and a social lounge. The presence of an "upstairs area looking below" and an "outdoor area to hang out" suggests a thoughtful layout that provides different zones for various moods and preferences. This kind of versatile space is highly valued in Houston, allowing patrons to choose their ideal setting, whether they prefer a lively indoor buzz or a more relaxed outdoor environment.
While the name "bar and grill" might suggest straightforward pub fare, information about Bloom's menu (from external sources referencing "Bloom & Bee" which seems to be associated with similar high-end offerings by Landry's, given the address and nature of the provided review) indicates a more sophisticated culinary approach. Menu items like Tuna Poke, Roasted Filet Mignon, and a variety of sushi rolls suggest an establishment that prides itself on quality ingredients and diverse flavors. This commitment to a refined menu, alongside a focus on creating a distinctive atmosphere, positions Bloom as a noteworthy addition to Houston's vibrant dining and nightlife scene.

For Houston locals, Bloom presents itself as a potentially appealing option for those seeking a sophisticated bar and grill experience in the vibrant Midtown district. The elements that make it suitable for our diverse community are primarily its distinctive atmosphere, versatile spaces, and central location.
Firstly, the aesthetic and ambiance of Bloom are a major draw. Described as "very well decorated" and having "definitely a vibe," it suggests a place that prioritizes a stylish and enjoyable environment. Houstonians appreciate venues where they can socialize in comfort and style, and the presence of both an "upstairs area looking below" and an "outdoor area to hang out" offers diverse settings to suit various moods and group sizes. Whether you're looking for an intimate conversation spot or a lively area to mingle, Bloom seems designed to accommodate.
Secondly, the strategic location on Fannin Street in Midtown is incredibly convenient. This central position ensures easy accessibility for residents and professionals from across the city, whether they're driving or utilizing Houston's efficient METRORail and bus systems. Proximity to other downtown attractions also makes it a viable option for pre or post-event gatherings. The ability to easily reach a venue that offers a high-quality experience is a significant factor for busy Texans.
While an unfortunate and serious incident of alleged racial discrimination by a staff member was reported in one review, it's crucial for any establishment to address such feedback directly and demonstrate a commitment to inclusivity and respectful service for all patrons. Assuming this is an isolated incident that the establishment would actively work to rectify, the physical attributes and intended atmosphere of Bloom remain attractive.
The concept of a bar and grill with a refined touch, hinting at a menu that includes more than just standard fare (such as sushi and elevated American dishes, as suggested by related brand information), also adds to its suitability. For locals looking for a place to enjoy well-crafted drinks and diverse food options in an appealing setting, Bloom offers a promising choice. The automatic 20% gratuity is a policy patrons should be aware of to avoid double-tipping, but it also ensures fair compensation for staff. Ultimately, for those seeking a stylish and versatile spot for social gatherings in Midtown, Bloom aims to deliver a memorable experience.

Bloom Reviews
This place is NOT for black people. Upon arriving we waited 15 minutes with no one ahead of us for service at the bar. The bartender dismissed us RUDELY 4 times. A group of white girls came to the bar and he immediately served them and began having conversations and disregarded us completely. We left after 45 minutes because we don’t tolerate disrespect.PLEASE NOTE: THIS ESTABLISHMENT WAS NOT “BUSY” AT THE TIME OF THIS EXPERIENCE—- Check the pictures attached —- THEY SIMPLY DONT MESS WITH BLACK PEOPLE AND THATS THAT.
Mar 06, 2022 · Sparkling ChelleNice place, with a cool upstairs area looking below and outdoor area to hang out as well. However I’m not a fan of the 20% gratuity automatically added to each tab. It’s kind of hard to spot on the receipt in the moment (dark inside) so you’ll likely end up double-tipping if you’re not paying attention.
Apr 21, 2022 · DGreat 5 star experience! Dante and the bartending service here were great! I loved my drinks & I loved the vibe & I loved the food! Highly recommend!
May 09, 2022 · Honey O.The atmosphere is good for a date night or a night out with the girls. We went on a Thursday and just about had the place to ourselves. The bartenders were nice. The drinks were good. The food was a different story. There are 2 menus, a 4-9pm and a 9-12. The 4-9 menu the staff was out of just about everything. Many of the people with us ordered burgers and the staff failed to let us know that they did not have everything for the burgers. Instead they just brung bread and meat, no onion, mustard, and bacon. Some waited so long for food that they just canceled the order and went elsewhere. The only person that apologized was the bartender. The manager did not apologize for the inconvenience.
Apr 10, 2022 · Amy HardyThis club is infuriating to say the least. My friends and I decided to come and try this club out one Saturday night. I was with a female friend who wore Jordan’s and was denied entry into this club. This was solely based off the fact she was not following their strict gender conforming dress-code for females. They said a cover for this was $15, which isn’t that much but for an outfit mistake it’s quite hilarious and dumb.I had another experience when a male friend of mine had a hat on going into this club. We didn’t think anything major of it, but apparently this was on the same level of a Bomb threat to the people at the door. They then requested that he pays $20 which is outrageous and unbelievable. This club is disappointing and a waste of time if you are looking for a good time. I highly recommend you check other spots nearby.
